I am Alexey Kuznetsov, Tkan Studio. The cleaning-company owner usually hears this scene from the other side: the manager reads the price list aloud because the site has no service area, cleaning type, or honest “from”. Maps give an address and reviews. A site is needed so the client can assemble the route before the call — and not spend your evening on questions that copy could have closed.
What the site must answer before the call
Clients almost always check four things. If even one is missing, they message a competitor or start an interrogation in chat.
- Area. Do you cover their district or go beyond the ring road. Without a zone map, a list of districts or “within N km of the metro” is enough.
- Cleaning type. Maintenance, deep clean, after renovation, windows, office — not dumped into one “cleaning from” price.
- “From” orientation. A figure with scope: what is in the base package, what counts as extras. Not “from 2,900” without a typical size.
- Site visit. When a quote can follow from photos and a form, and when a measurer must visit first.
For first contact the form needs a name, phone, address or district, type of work and approximate size. “As is” photos are optional — not a barrier on step one.
“From” without scope is a doorway argument
An ad figure without size and scope leads to the same mess as in dentistry: the manager apologises, the client gets angry. It is calmer to show a range for a typical flat and separately when the price goes up: heavy soiling, upholstery cleaning, windows, rush jobs.
If you already have a formula “size × type + extras”, you can put it in a calculator on the landing — then the conversation starts with clarifications, not with dictating the price list. When a quiz fits better than a calculator — in a separate piece.
When you do not quote without a visit
Maintenance cleaning for a typical two-room flat is often priced from the enquiry. After renovation, a warehouse, a site with “unclear how much construction debris” — it is more honest to write: a visit or photos with a manager’s comment are required. Hiding that until the call piles up refusals: the person expected a fixed figure, and you say “we’ll see on site”.
A short block on the site is enough: “we quote from the enquiry” / “a visit is required” / “photos are enough for an orientation”. That is not a widget — it is clarity for the manager and the client.
Maps card or your own page
One crew with word-of-mouth bookings and a narrow district sometimes only needs a Maps card: phone, hours, reviews. Your own page starts to repay attention when:
- several cleaning formats and different “from” figures;
- the area is wider than one district, and the manager explains “yes we go / no we don’t” every day;
- ads already send people into an empty chat with no parameters;
- you need a calculator or at least an honest price composition before the call.
The studio industry page — cleaning website; a teaching layout — in the “Clean Home” case. Nearby in the series: dentistry, lawyer — the same “answer before the call” logic, different subject.
